Finland: Where Winter Comes Alive

8 Days

This 8-day Finnish adventure begins with two days exploring Helsinki’s coastal charm and cultural landmarks, including Senate Square, Market Square, the UNESCO World Heritage sea fortress of Suomenlinna, and Oodi Central Library. Travelers then journey north into Lapland aboard the Santa Claus Express night train to Rovaniemi the official hometown of Santa Claus to cross the Arctic Circle, enjoy reindeer sleigh rides, set off on snowmobile safaris, and search for the Northern Lights. The expedition continues with a full-day Polar Icebreaker cruise on the Bothnian Sea featuring ice floating in thermal survival suits, followed by an energetic husky safari and a transfer to Saariselkä. The journey wraps up with heated glass igloo stays under the Arctic night sky, snowshoeing in Urho Kekkonen National Park, riding Northern Europe’s longest toboggan run, and unwinding in traditional Finnish saunas before departing via Ivalo Airport.
